I know it’s pretty easy and not too expensive to buy beans at the supermarket or farmers market these days. But I really enjoy eating fresh beans from the garden. They taste great and it’s nice knowing exactly what’s gone on them in the process of growing.
Green beans were a staple for many of us growing up (usually over-boiled with little crunch or nutrients for that matter!). The good thing is this traditional veg is just as versatile in today’s kitchen (think salads with a twist or Asian-inspired cuisine).
