NZ Cranberry

NZ Cranberry is a fragrant evergreen with dainty flowers and delicious edible berry fruits. NZ Cranberry fruits have unique taste - a combination of strawberry, pineapple and apple.
New Zealand cranberries can be planted any time of year and are best eaten fresh and fully ripe.
Other common names: Chilean guava, murta, murtilla and Tas Myrtus Berry
It's great for hedges (dense shrub), native to Chile.
They can be grown in pots and generally easy to grow.
Once established the NZ cranberry plants can tolerate drought conditions but watering during establishment is a helpful. A good thick mulch/compost is also appreciated (it may be sensitive to frost) however it is relatively hardy.
