Lavandula angustifolia

Hidcote lavender has deep blue colouring and is grown for its scent and drying the stems and flowers.

Planting Instructions

  • Grows to a height of 35cm
  • Plant in full sun in well-drained soil
  • Avoid overhead watering
  • Add a bit of lime and a general fertiliser to the soil before planting
  • Once planted, layer newspaper around your seedlings and cover the newspaper with peastraw to prevent it drying out between watering
