Chilli - Serrano

Love bold Mexican flavour? Meet Serrano — the chilli that brings clean, vibrant, mild heat to your favourite dishes.
This classic variety pumps out slender, smooth pods (5–6 cm) that start deep green and ripen to a rich red. Hotter than a jalapeño yet still totally versatile, Serranos shine in fresh salsas, pico de gallo, hot sauces, pickles, and on the grill for that unique Mexican flavour.

Harvest green for a crisp, sharp kick or let them go red for a sweeter, fuller flavour.  

Planting tips:

Position: Full sun, warm sheltered spot.

Soil: Fertile, free-draining soil or quality potting mix.

Water: Keep evenly moist; avoid letting plants dry out in peak summer.

Feeding: Regular feeding once flowering starts for best yields.

Frost: Tender — plant out after frost risk has passed and protect in cooler regions.

Habit: Upright, vigorous plants that crop heavily through summer into autumn. Great in garden beds or large containers.
