Blueberry Rahi is a vigorous Rabbiteye variety prized for its outstanding fruit quality and reliable mid-season production. Harvesting from early February to late March, it performs well across the North Island and suits warmer growing regions. Rahi has a very vigorous growth habit and benefits from summer pruning to maximise bud set and maintain consistent yields. With an estimated chill requirement of around 600 hours, it establishes well in suitable climates. Early autumn frosts may affect fruit in colder districts. The plant produces firm, very light blue berries with good flavour and excellent shelf-life, making it ideal for fresh eating, market sales, baking and preserving. A strong-performing variety for home gardens and lifestyle blocks seeking premium-quality berries.
