Rangiora (Brachyglottis repanda) is a fast-growing evergreen perennial shrub or small tree endemic to New Zealand. It has large, softly textured green leaves with toothed edges and distinctive white, felted undersides. Large sprays of small cream flowers appear from winter to spring. It can grow to approximately 6 m tall.

Rangiora is useful for native restoration, screening, shelter and woodland gardens. Plant in full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing. It responds well to pruning after flowering and often grows naturally along forest margins and in regenerating bush.

Plant type: Evergreen perennial shrub or small tree
Companion Plants: Māhoe, wineberry, kawakawa, koromiko and carex.
