Capsicum - Toro (Sweet Red)
This is a sweet red capsicum that gets it's name, 'bullhorn' from its unique shape. Capsicums are perfect for growing in containers. Just choose a good-sized pot (at least 25cm for one plant) and keep it well watered.

Capsicum and chilli plants are heat-loving perennials that can live for years with frost protection. During the colder months, place them in a greenhouse or a sunny indoor spot to enable them to produce fruits. They grow well in containers and are great for a sunny kitchen windowsill.
Bringing them indoors before the cold hits helps avoid frost damage and sets you up for a stronger crop next season, as older plants often produce more fruit. With some care, these vibrant plants can continue to grow and yield well past summer.
- Plant in full sun in well-drained soil
- Before planting dig in compost and fertilliser
- If growing in pots use a good quality potting mix
- Protect young plants from slugs and snails
- Feed with fertiliser when fruit appears

Standard Nationwide Delivery - Regular dispatch schedules are Monday and Wednesdays. Orders for Rural and South Island delivery will be dispatched Monday only. Please place your order before 1pm Friday for dispatch the following Monday.
