Broad Bean - Dwarf Early Green
Faba vulgaris
This popular bean is perfect for planting with kids because it's super simple to grow. The plants will need to be tied up, but they lean against each other and grow across the ground.
- pH should be 5.5 to 6.5
- If it needs to go higher add lime
- Plant 15cm apart in rows 30cm apart
- Stake either end of plants and loop a big piece of string around whole lot to keep them growing together when they are approx 1 m height
- Harvest in around 10-12 weeks
