Chilli - Habanero Red
One of the hottest chilli or peppers, habanero red has brilliant red fruit and intense fiery heat. A selection of habanero red has previously held the record for the hottest chilli known by the Guinness Book of Records.
Here's our list of chillies in order of hottest (starting with the hottest of the hot) - Carolina Reaper, Bhut Jolokia, Habanero Red, Red Hot Pepper, Jalapeno Red Flame and Jalapeno.
- Grows to a height of 60cm
- Plant 60cm apart
- Plant in well-drained soil in full sun
- Plant near bee-friendly plants to encourage pollination. Or self-pollinate with paint brush
- Keep soil moist
- Cut, rather than pull, the fruit from the plant
- Tomatoes
