This perennial swan plant is renowned for its ability to attract monarch butterflies, which love to lay their eggs on them.

Wait 2-3 weeks for seedlings and 10 days for established plants to get established and any residual spray to disappear before putting any caterpillars on it. Then to be sure test it with one caterpillar first. 

Planting tips:⁠
Plant in full sun, in well-drained soil.⁠
   - Keep the soil moist during summer months.⁠
Plant 70cm apart.⁠
Plant in a sheltered position to protect against the wind.⁠
They can be planted in the ground or in pots/containers.⁠
