ASPAR
Asparagus - Mary Washington
Asparagus of cianalis
Asparagus will take four years to grow before you can harvest any shoots. But a good bed may last 50 years so preferably give it its own space.

- Grows to a height of 100cm
- Dig deeply or make a loose, rich no-dig bed
- Plant 20cm deep and 40cm apart
- Allow the plant to develop a strong crown for the first three years
- The plant will die back every winter and send up new shoots in spring. These are the shoots you can pick in the fourth year
