Pumpkin - Butternut
Butternut pumpkin matures quickly and has a sweet and nutty flavour. It grows well in large pots and tubs and over the ground. It looks completely different to buttercup pumpkin but it has a similar taste.
- Add compost and fertiliser
- Plant in full sun and moist but well-drained soil
- Grow near bee-friendly plants to encourage pollination or self-pollinate plants
- Plant 90-120cm apart
- Ensure pumpkins are always above ground and dry
- Harvest when the vine shrivels and dies
- Leave small piece of stalk attached
- Store in cool, airy place

Standard Nationwide Delivery - Regular dispatch schedules are Monday and Wednesdays. Orders for Rural and South Island delivery will be dispatched Monday only. Please place your order before 1pm Friday for dispatch the following Monday.
