Plagianthus regius

Ribbonwood is New Zealand's tallest deciduous tree. Initially, ribbonwood will grow into a small-leaved, highly-branched, slender bush and it can be grown and maintained as a dense hedge. As an adult, it will develop a tall trunk with wide-spreading limbs. It has an inner layer of bark made up of net-like layers. It is fast growing in all soil types.
