Abelia × grandiflora ‘Pink’ is a semi-evergreen shrub grown for its arching branches, glossy foliage and soft pink tubular flowers. This compact shrub produces clusters of lightly fragrant blooms from summer through autumn, providing long-season colour in the garden. The flowers attract bees and other pollinators and are followed by decorative sepals that extend the display. Abelia grows best in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil and tolerates pruning well. Suitable for many New Zealand gardens, it is commonly used for hedging, borders and low-maintenance landscape plantings.
