Bergenia cordifolia ‘Pink’ is a hardy perennial grown for its clusters of pink flowers and large rounded evergreen leaves. This clump-forming plant produces upright stems of bell-shaped blooms in late winter to early spring, adding colour to the garden during cooler months. The thick glossy foliage provides year-round structure and can develop reddish tones in colder weather. Bergenia grows best in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil and tolerates a range of garden conditions. Suitable for many New Zealand gardens, it is commonly used for borders, groundcover and woodland-style plantings.
