Lavender - Munstead
Lavandula angustifolia
Munstead lavender is commonly used as a border, bedding and dry flower.
Considered an English Lavender variety, they are regarded as the true lavender, known for their distinct, fragrant true lavender smell.
- Grows to a height of 50cm
- Plant in full sun in well-drained soil
- Avoid overhead watering
- Add a bit of lime and a general fertiliser to the soil before planting
- Once planted, layer newspaper around your seedlings and cover the newspaper with peastraw to prevent it drying out between watering
