Abutilon ‘Golden Fleece’ is an evergreen flowering shrub known for its soft yellow bell-shaped flowers and maple-like foliage. This abutilon produces a long display of pendulous blooms from spring through autumn, adding warm colour to sheltered garden areas. The lantern-shaped flowers hang beneath the foliage on slender stems and attract bees and other pollinators. Abutilon grows best in full sun to partial shade with well-drained soil and protection from strong winds and heavy frost. Suitable for many New Zealand gardens in mild climates, it is commonly used in borders, cottage gardens and containers.
