Grey Box coastal rosemary (Westringia fruticosa ‘Grey Box’)
A compact evergreen shrub with fine grey-green foliage and a naturally dense, rounded habit. Small white to pale-lilac flowers appear from spring through autumn, providing a long-lasting display and attracting pollinators.
Growing approximately 40–60 cm tall and wide, it is an excellent alternative to traditional box hedging. Use it for low borders, formal edging, mass planting or containers. Plant in full sun or light shade with free-draining soil. Once established, it tolerates drought, coastal exposure, wind and light frost. Trim lightly during the growing season to maintain a neat shape, avoiding cuts into old bare wood.
